The Calliope of Chaos
|
This was a fun miniature to paint and assemble. I decided to build the miniature into sub-assemblies, so that way it was easier to paint. I assembled it into these sub sections:
- Left Spirit Host
- Right Spirit Host
- 3 Banshees
- The Carriage
- The Gate
- The Relic
- Corpse Master
I then painted all of the parts their various colors and then assembled together.

I was going for a smokey, whisky, shadow-like color scheme for this miniature, as if the darkness was manifesting this morbidly haunting thing to bring death and ruin. I really like this effect and I am satisfied with the overall result.

I was most impressed with the way the Corpse Master looks on the miniature, I painted it a bright Teal before oil washing it, and it looks fittingly haunting.
Over all, I love this model. It was fun to assemble, even more fun to paint, and in the end; makes an awesome center piece for my army.
