Undead Army: Cavalry

I decided to add 10 Hexwraiths and 10 Black Knights to my Warhammer Fantasy Battle Vampire Counts army.  These miniatures can also be used in Age of Sigmar as well as the 9th Age (If I decide to ever go back to it...  Chances are unlikely, but still I like to be prepared)

The nice part about the Hexwraith/Black Knight kits from Citadel, is that you can technically make two different units out of 1 Box set.  If you decide to build Hexwraiths, the left over bits can be used to create Black Knights.

The only thing is that you have to create/convert mounts for them to use, which I did.  As you can see in the photos, I converted some left hover horse and cavalry mounts for my Black Knights.  In the end I had 20 Cavalry Models in total for my army.

As you can see, I decided to paint up my Hexwraiths in Ethereal Green and my Black Knights in Ethereal Blue.  I primed both miniatures in flat white spray paint, and then painted the miniatures with glazes.

For the Hexwraiths I used Waywatcher Green and for the Black Knights I used Guilliaman Blue.  I then used a wash consisting of 50% Colia Greenshade and Lahmian Medium and applied to both miniatures to add depth.

Afterwards I painted the weapons and flames for the Hexwraiths before giving the miniatures an oil wash consisting of 3 Parts Minwax Mission Oak Polyshade and 1 Part Paint Thinner.  I applied it all over the Hexwraiths and set it aside to dry.

I then painted all metal on the Black Knights and then picked out the vines covering the miniatures in Kiwi Colored Craft paint to help the details pop.  I then washed the miniatures in the same oil wash as the Hexwraiths.

This effect gave the miniatures a real smokey look, which makes them look awesome!

More pics coming later :)

Necromunda: Road Wars Campaign Rules Part 3

NECROMUNDA: ROAD WAR CAMPAIGN RULES #3 DESIGNED AND WRITTEN BY: COMMANDER CHEAPSKATE Territories in the Ash Wastes are altered a little from the Underhive. All gangs have one territory called the Wastelands Territory at gang creation. This territory is always in the Gang's Possession and they can never lose it. Whenever you captured a new piece of territory, roll on the Ash Waste Territory Table to determine what it is. Once the territory's identity is identified, it remains until the end of the campaign. It should be noted, that no territories offer Enhanced Boons to any gang in this campaign. The reason why is because no one holds sway over the Ash Wastes... No one...
