A Long, 6 Month Road: House von Koss

After a long 6 months, my 2000 point Vampire Counts army is finally completed.  I proudly present to you:  House von Koss.

House von Koss

This army consists of the following:
  • Marduk von Koss, Strigoi Ghoul King
  • The House of Balefire, 50 Crypt Ghouls with Champion
  • The Ravenous, 6 Crypt Horrors with Champion
  • The Walking Dead of San Remy, 61 Zombies with Standard Bearer and Musician
  • Rolling Bones, a Corpse Cart
  • Wolkhar the Beast of Blutwald, a Terrorgheist
  • The Calliope of Chaos, a Mortis Engine
Zombies, Ghouls, and Horrors; oh, my!
I am a fan of brightly colored armies.  My High Elf, Empire, Dark Elf, Chaos, Wood Elf, and Orcs and Goblins army are perfect examples of this.  The problem that I have with most Undead Armies that are painted is that they look so bleached, bland, and monochromatic.

Ghouls, Corpse Cart, and Terrorgheist!
So I wanted to change that up, painting up my zombies and ghouls in bright greens, browns, reds, and blues.  I also used a lot of Blood-for-the-Blood-God for visual effects and flocking on the bases of my units.

Zombies, Terrogheist, and Mortis Engine!

In the end, I am really pleased to see how this army turned out.  This is 2000 points, finally completed; taking 6 months of on-and-off work to create this.  Now its time to move on to the next 500 points, some Hexwraiths and Black Knights.

Ain't no Rest for the Wicked!
